The Pipeline Association for Public Awareness (PAPA) is a nonprofit organization whose members include people, organizations and other entities who own or operate pipeline facilities or who make contributions to support PAPA’s pipeline safety educational programs. The Association accepts members in two categories: Pipeline Members and Sustaining Members.
PAPA administers pipeline safety and emergency readiness programs for emergency responders, excavators, public officials and school officials across the United States. Programs help members comply with the requirements of RP1162 while increasing awareness about pipeline safety. The basic member dues for Pipeline Members are $35 per county plus applicable program fees.
Any individual or organization that actively supports the purposes of the Association by freely donating time, services or financial resources for the creation, development, support or execution of related public awareness activities is eligible to become a Sustaining Member of the Pipeline Association for Public Awareness (financial contributions are not deductible as “charitable” contributions for Federal tax purposes). Many State Associations and other organizations join as Sustaining Members.
